Ron Paul 2012! He should drop out of the Republican race right now and declare he'll be running as an Independent. Unfortunately, these guys think they have to be on the ticket for one of the two imperial parties because voters are lazy and want their politics spoon fed to them. How many people actually agree with EVERYTHING the Democrats stand for or EVERYTHING the Republicans stand for? We just continue to let them divide us up into groups and each party takes half so they can both stay in power. Wake up people!

Ron Paul's great if you want a racist bigot in the White House. Oh wait, that's usually what we have there anyway.

I'm assuming you're referring to the newsletters. If you just do a Google search, you'll see that he had nothing to do with those comments in the newsletters. Those comments were written by Lew Rockwell, his ghostwriter, between 1989 and 1993, when Paul had nothing to do with the newsletters other than his name being on them. Paul has publicly denied writing the comments. One thing about Ron Paul, he certainly doesn't shy away from commenting on controversial issues (unlike most politicians). Personally, I feel that if he had anything do to with writing them, he would own up to it and explain his position on them. In this day and age of YouTube videos and endless amounts of information online, you would think there would be additional material of him making racist comments but there are none. This is the media up to their typical tricks of trying to paint anyone who is opposed to Obama as racist.

What I think is funny about the Republican Primaries is that recent polling shows (on average) that none of the named candidates could beat Obama today. But those same polls show (again, on average) that a generic, unnamed Republican could beat Obama. What does that mean? Should the pop culture candidates like Sarah Palin or Donald Trump have gotten in the race? Everyone else has had a turn at leading Romney. Who's next?
