Help The Cause
Thanks for the showing an interest in helping out! If you haven't done so
already, visit the about me
page to learn more about me and what I'm trying to do here. Also, please feel
free to contact me
if you ever have any questions, comments or complaints. Here's a few ways
to really help out. Thanks!
Spread The Word
Without a large advertising budget (or any budget really), I rely heavily on word
of mouth to reach new users. If you value the content I've already provided
and see the potential of where this can go, please tell everyone about TheSmartVoter.
Tell your friends. Tell your family. Tell your coworkers. Every
new visitor gives us a little more power to change the status quo. I try to
make it easy for you to share by including links to Facebook, Twitter and many more.
Please use these tools to make as many people aware of the site as possible.
Get Involved
Since this is a fairly new site, I really need users to be engaged. I've already
started some discussion topics for you to let others know how you feel about different
issues. I need to get people commenting on those topics and then starting
their own. I've also created a section for like-minded individuals to come
together and create their own interest groups. There's also a blog section
that allows you to create your own political blog. These tools are only effective
if people use them. Most people will only become involved once they see others
doing it. Please help by being actively involved as I continue to launch new
features.
Contribute Content
Are you a political "insider"? Are you part of another like minded group that
wants to provide unbiased facts to the voters? I would love to discuss
any partnership opportunities that will provide additional information to my users.
I will work diligently to reciprocate any considerable contributions to the site.
Please contact me with any suggestions on how we can
work together.
Donate
It takes resources to develop the level of content and tools that I want to provide
the voters. Like any other project, financial requirements are always a major concern.
Revenue comes from advertising (which is directly related to site traffic) and donations.
I made a decision early on to limit the amount of display ads on this site. I want
to provide my visitors with a clean look and an enjoyable visit without being bombarded
by advertisements. You'll also notice a key location on most pages that provides
free advertisement. This is my little way of supporting worthy causes. I could
certainly use the ad revenue that would be generated by this spot but if I'm going
to ask people to help my cause then it's only fitting that I do the same for others.
I know that times are tough for a lot of people and I understand if you can't give
much. Please consider helping with a financial donation even if it's only $5 or
$10. If every visitor gave only $10, I would be well on my way to develop the powerful,
in-depth tools that I want to provide the American voters. Of course, I'll accept
more but every donation - no matter how large or small - is much needed and extremely
appreciated.
Advertise
It's obvious that my revenue is generated from advertisements. I've made a
commitment to my users that I won't use this platform to express my opinions and beliefs.
That doesn't mean that you can't. I believe that it's important for voters
to hear every side of the story before making their decision. By advertising
with TheSmartVoter, you are reaching the very voters that are eager to learn
about politics. While I support free speech and want to give everyone a chance
to be heard, I will remove any advertisements that abuse the trust of of our users.
